πŸ™A Journey to sri padeπŸ™

My first pilgrimage to sri pade became a chapter I'll never forget.
Our group teased me with the nickname "the kodu karaya"
Yet every moment felt new, filled with simple
Laughter and fresh experience.

Before climbing the mountains, everyone cleaned
Up and gathered to eat
I tasted the fish flakes and the meat curry we had carried,
Even though my mother had warned me not to but hunger often wins over rules.

As night fell,we began the climb with excitement
I shared stories from the ancient legends of the mountain, feeling a quiet pride as others listened
Along the way,I saw the struggle of  pilgrims some climbing with one breath,
Some guide by kind soldiers, step by careful step
It made me wonder if I would ever face those moments myself

Closer to the peak  , a sharp pain rose from inside me ,
But my determination pulled me forward
The hope of touching  the sacred footprint.
Just as I reached the top ,my strength slipped away,
And I fainted near the shrine

I still remember voices around me saying ,
"Just hold in a little longer,son ..."

When I opened my eyes, one thought stuck me

That ignoring my mother's warning ⚠️
And eating the wrong food in this sacred journey felt like a small mistake carried into a holy place .

Yet this pilgrimage carved something deeper in me :
A reminder of faith , endurance, and the kindness that gathers around us in our weakest moments.
